Cut some Halloween scrapbook paper a bit smaller then the wood. Put a nice coat of Mod Podge and adhered it to the wood. After it was dry I took some medium grit sandpaper and gave the whole thing a good sanding. {including the paper} giving it that distressed look. 
Applied a coat of Mod Podge over the top, let it dry, and then applied the BOO and SPOOKY vinyl to it. 
Put some picture hangers on the back and Wah Lah! 
Oh so cute! SIMPLE and Cheap!
