The Small Object had a tutorial in 2007 on these adorable tree's. I found the tutorial last year and made a few for my tree.

Well, those cute little tree's inspired these....

Simple too! Here's a quick tutorial. 3 fabric scraps...

Ironed a medium weight Interfacing to the wrong side

Printed out the pattern from
The Small Object and cut the half circles out...

Fold them to make the cone shape. I made a short little straight stitch to keep the cone secure.

Do all three and stack em up. I tied a bit of string to a button, forming a loop. Insert the loop through the top of the cone, button on the inside.

Way cute Candy Corn!

i love them! They would be cute as a garland strung across a porch or something! darling. who doesn't love candy corn anyway?
I went crazy making these little trees last year for my friends. They were so fun and easy to make; a really quick project that I needed after doing so much quilting (which takes a long time, as you know).
I love them as candy corn! How cute!!! I would have never thought of doing that. Thanks for the idea!

They are so cute in orange. You could do black and call them witches hats. I made a bunch of them last year. They were so fun.
