In the late 80's early 90's I was heavy into crafting. Staying up all hours of the night in a little room in our home with a work table my hubby built and a fluorescent light hanging from the ceiling. I did mostly wood and painted projects. With a few aprons, and dolls thrown in too.
I scrounged around my husband's scrap bin of wood and found some "blocks" at least 1" thick. Around 2" wide and 3"-6" tall. {needs to be at least 1" thick in order to stand up without wobbling over}You'll need 1.5" Wood Doll Head/Knobs
A piece of scrap fabric or old white sheets
White and Black Craft Paint
Hot Glue and Glue Gun
And Ribbon or Raffia for the bow.
I used Hot Glue to attach the head to the wood "block" body.
I tore up some old white sheets. (it needs to be at least twice the height of the body and 12" or so wide).

How can there be no comments yet? Maybe they are all waiting for moderation. I LOVE THIS!! So easy and so cute. The cute-ness factor is just sky high on this. (as if anything you make isn't amazing, sheesh!)

So cute, and mostly stuff I already have. Thanks for the idea.
Very Cute Jodi! and nice and easy too!
I love the cute little ghosties! I'm not a fan of creepy crawly gorey halloween but i do love happy, cute, trick or treat halloween!
Jodi,
That is so cute! I do something similar w/a Tootsie Roll pop and a sheet of Kleenex. I tie it off w/ribbon, raffia, or whatever is handy, dot the eyes w/Sharpie ..and voila...a treat and a decoration, too! Yours is much nicer to keep year after year...tootsie pop would be icky (but they never last)!!
Too, too cute...now I have to go back to AC Moore!!!
I did some Halloween painting this weekend...come see.
I just LOVE the Halloween Header...very festive.
Very cute! Thanks for showing us how it's done.

I love the Ghost family. I have all the stuff and will go and make myself a Ghost family. Jodi, you are so clever and thank you for a nice tutorial too!
These are so cute! I used to do crafts in the 80's and early 90's before I started quilting all the time. I did tole painting, fabric painting, counted cross stitch, ceramics...there's probably more, but I can't remember any now! My Halloween decorations reflect some of my past craft hobbies, too.
I'll have to dig around in my husbands wood scraps. These will be fun to make with my grand kids.
Such scary little ghosties!!! I will have to show my granddaughter these! Hey, Jodi...love your banner!
