A Ghost Family

In the late 80's early 90's I was heavy into crafting. Staying up all hours of the night in a little room in our home with a work table my hubby built and a fluorescent light hanging from the ceiling. I did mostly wood and painted projects. With a few aprons, and dolls thrown in too.Last week as I was unpacking our Halloween decorations, I came across a few of my wares from the Bazaar days. This little ghost is one of my all time favorite's. And I thought to myself, "self, you should make some more, and put a little tutorial up on your blog." So here is a real quick tutorial on how to make an ADORABLE little ghost. Or two. Or three. Why you could have your very own Ghost Family. BOO !I scrounged around my husband's scrap bin of wood and found some "blocks" at least 1" thick. Around 2" wide and 3"-6" tall. {needs to be at least 1" thick in order to stand up without wobbling over}

You'll need 1.5" Wood Doll Head/Knobs
A piece of scrap fabric or old white sheets
White and Black Craft Paint
Hot Glue and Glue Gun
And Ribbon or Raffia for the bow.

I used Hot Glue to attach the head to the wood "block" body. I tore up some old white sheets. (it needs to be at least twice the height of the body and 12" or so wide). Drape the sheet over the ghost head and tie around the neck. Raffia or ribbon work and both are super cute. You could use a sharpie to make the eyes, but be careful that it doesn't bleed. I like to dip the end of a thin paintbrush or stylus into black paint and dot the eyes on my ghosts. That's it! You're done! Easy Peasy, no?
