The Yankee Trader

Come along and visit The Yankee Trade with us....LoVe the Red Boots. LoVe them.
The shop is called The Yankee Trader. The owner is a sweetheart. And she makes the most adorable (what I would call) altered art cakes. This Halloween one greets you at the counter. Isn't it fantastic!

There was a little corner of Christmas, and the SNOW cake with the cute snowman on top, was very, very tempting. I of course gravitated towards this part of the shop. I had my eye on that Hostess sign.
Another great cake.
I don't know what the owner calls this room. But Adele and I referred to it as the "white room" and it was heavenly. ;o)

She must have known I was coming. ;o) I now want a big glass bowl vase thingy, filled with balls of crochet thread.

My sister has the lodge / outdoorsy look happenin in her home. I thought about her when I saw this. It was oh so tempting.

What a great find. I can understand why you loved every inch. I haven't been to Seaside in years, and you are making me want to go. (In the summer of course).

Next time I am in Oregon and go to the coast ~ hopfully next summer. I am currently in the lottery to run the Hood to Coast! I am planning to browse this store all afternoon. I love to find great little shops like this. Can't wait to see what treasure you took home.

Oh Jodie, what an excellent shop - I wish I would have been there with you...how far do you live from Seaside as we did a trip down to Oregon in 2008 and my gosh we loved it!! We didn't get to make it to Seaside though even though everyone told us to stop there for the beauty. I love this shop and like the other girls said I could totally stop there and spend hours - how fun and what great photos.

This is bad. Very, very bad. 10+ years I've lived on the North Coast... and NOT ONCE have I ever gone into that shop. I wonder if they have a giant cartoon hammer I can bonk myself in the head with.

WOW... I am so now going there. Like soon. Like in the next few hours soon!

We go to Seaside all the time, and I've never stopped in there! What is wrong with me? I'll have to rectify that.

WAIT!!! GO BACK!!! You have to get that cake sign -- I can't believe you left it. Even if you had to trade your friend for the sign -- what were you thinking??? And I need that gun sign for hubby -- I could just change his name LOL!

Wow, what a brain flash. I have not been to Seaside, Oregon since 1973! What a sweet shop... I think I need some of those boots to hang out on my front porch.
