Quilt No. 2

Quilt No. 2 for our No. 2.Remember, he's the one making his own guitar Hubby came to the rescue again, taking me to the fabric store to get something for the backing, after my colonoscopy! LOL He said no. I said Yes. He said, no. Guess who won. :o) {thanks Hubby}. I still cannot believe how well the backing goes with the quilt. I bought the guitar, stripe and one of the dots from one of my favorite Etsy Sellers {daffodilhill} earlier this year. It was much fun to make. Again there was no pattern. I just kept sewing as I went. The sashing is a Kona Cotton. Off white in color. And it ended up being just a bit bigger than a twin size.

I'm making my 20 yr old son a quilt with the exact same guitar fabric!:) I'm using this Alexander Henry 2-D Zoo fabric for the back...I showed him the pin-basted quilt and he loves it. Now I need to finish it!;)

I like the horizontal lines you quilted and the blocks, too.

A match made in heaven - your husband should not complain because he is so good in pairing fabrics. By the way, I love your quilts - simple horizontal quilting which I have not attempted yet.

Another super quilt. Sometimes the best ones are the ones without a plan, or so I am discovering.
