I expected to be back by now. So much for that idea. Just wanted to let ya know I went back in for a second surgery last Friday and I am now minus my Gall Bladder.
It was a rough go this time, mostly because of having two surgeries back to back and yesterday my body decided it didn't like the stitches or glue in/on all FOUR incisions. I've had quite the allergic reaction and I'm not having the least bit of fun. And that's just the frosting on the cake.
I'll have more details soon, for those that are on the edge of their seat waiting to know. ;o)
In the mean time I've felt good enough this afternoon to postdate a few little posts for ya.
Oh and I almost forgot! THANK YOU to everyone who has emailed, called, sent letters, cards, flowers, food, etc. etc. etc. I can't even begin to tell you how much I've appreciated it all.

Sounds like that might have been an unexpected/unplanned surgery! Sorry to hear of the aversion to the stitches. Hang in there.

Had mine out too, no fun that is for sure but I hope this is the last of it for you and you are now on the road to recovery!!

ewwwwwwwwwwwwww....i'm so sorry on the allergic reaction to tape!! (well, i'm sorry on everything, but I know the feeling of the reaction)
I had the same reaction to tape on my C-section and thought i would go out of my mind.
watch some good movies?? start with Robin Hood, BBC on netflix. Season 1 and 2 are on instant play.

Oh Jodi! I HOPE this is finally it! Please tell me the pain is GONE and you can be DONE with it!!! Hope you're feeling better this weekend.
I've been thinking about you alot and hoping you would get something worked out. I hope you are on the way to feeling better once and for all without having any more complications. I've heard that getting more fabric speads the healing process. Take it slow and rest for awhile, you deserve it.
I am hoping that minus 1 gall bladder means you might be minus any more poking or prodding :)

Ugh, that doesn't sound like fun AT ALL. I'm relatively new to your blog. Don't know what health issues you've had but it sounds like I can relate. I've had my gall bladder out & a bowel resection. Fun times!!! I hope you get to feeling better :)
I'm so sorry to hear your not doing so well! I hope you recover quickly. Take it easy.
I'm so glad to hear they finally decided to remove it! You wouldn't believe how many of us have. You will be feeling so much better in no time at all. I still have problems with pancreatitis from it, but I take a digestive enzyme (found at vitamin stores) and it helps SO much with the pancreas pain. I hope that you are feeling better soon!
