Another Finish ! 2 weeks in the making,,,but DONE!

This took me 2 weeks to do. :me rolling my eyes and shaking my head: When I was feeling more like my "normal" self I could have done this one in 2 days. But,,,, It's DONE! Another Finish! I shant complain as I do have moments now that I can actually sew and I am very grateful for those. Very grateful.
And even tho I think I was totally nuts to quilt it like this. {it takes way more time then stippling or meandering}. I'm glad I did. The backing is flannel. Oh so soft. The front is made with Kona Cotton Solids and a little bit of the flannel.

In trying not to buy any fabric until my Projects are completed. I used some black and white check/plaid I had on hand. I would have preferred something more geometric-y, but it looks good.
It's a small baby size. I call them Nap Quilts. I have a couple I made for my boys many moons ago. I liked to lay these Nap Quilts on the floor for them to lay on (before they could scoot around) or have them in their cribs or playpens when taking a little nap or playing. And after a few washings, they are super soft, and super easy for the little ones to handle when they do start toodling around. This will be shipped to Nevada for my husbands Family Reunion and the Auction they have. There are lots of boys on his side of the family, so I think it won't have a hard time finding a home. ;o) Hooray for me! Even though I've had a rough time of it the last few days, I was still able to complete 2 Projects!

very cute quilt! I love how the quilting turned out. I love the horizontal lines with the occational block quilted into a rectangle. Very cute and well done!

how big is a "nap quilt"? I've got a 36-incher that I can't figure out how to make it bigger. Can I call it good and just say it is a nap quilt? It is for a baby who is still hooked up to O2 and all that, so I dont' think he'll be going anywhere soon!

I love the way you quilted it! I much prefer that to the stippling kind of machine quilting.

So happy to hear that you have been feeling a bit better and hope you continue to have more and more good hours and days! The quilting is such an integral part of that quilt, it makes the pattern really pop!

This looks great. I especially like the quilting. I have become a big fan of the straight line quilting.

so glad you have been feeling well enough to do some sewing. Great quilt and there is nothing like flannel for the back of a quilt.

It's beautiful! The quilting is great. I really want to do some straight line quilting, instead of always stippling.

Two weeks? Ha! I'd be jumping for joy if I got anything finished in two weeks. Quilting time is at a premium here.

Jodi, you know I love this for the colors alone! It is absolutely precious. And the binding looks perfect. Funny, when we "make do" it often looks better than if we'd picked out a fabric especially for this. Someone is going to just love receiving this.
