Can I go back on VACATION!?

Personally I don't think coming back to reality is ever fun. And my TO DO list is like 4 pages double spaced typed, long! Ugh.

And I haven't felt all that great either. I'm thinking it's pure exhaustion. And probably not so much from the Fast and Furious Road Trip we made. But mental exhaustion from being home. LOL You do know what I mean? Right?

So last night I was outside bundled up in a sweatshirt and blanket {Yes it was quite chilly to me last night. And I think my body is adjusting from being in 110+ weather to our 50-70's weather. Brrrr.}

So last night while I was outside in my reclining lawn chair all bundled up, I was day dreaming about our Fast and Furious but TOTALLY FUN Road Trip.

Here's a little Re-Cap (there's so much I didn't have time to share!)
We left in the morning and were off to Idaho. Flying past the beautiful Multnomah Falls in Oregon.Before we knew it, we were in Idaho for the night. The next day, we made our way to the Westside Drive In, in Boise Idaho. The famous Guy Fieri of Diners, Drive-in's and Dives, visited Westside.
Then we were off and driving to Utah. Where we made a quick stop at the Ogden City Cemetery to take some pictures of my ancestor's headstones. And I always click a few of other headstones as well. Loved the flower on this one.

Then we headed to Provo Utah to drop off Son #3 and his friend. (#3 on the right) at a week long Youth "camp". {They had a fantastic time!}And you all know I was able to meet IRL some of my blogging buddies! We shopped at Material Girls;
and Pine Needles. Two of the most fantastic Quilt Shops I've been in.
Hollyhocks are hard to grow here, especially if we get a lot of rain in the spring. So I always take photos of the Hollyhocks when I'm in Utah.
Then I got a Personal tour of Lori Holt's home! Oh my goodness girls.

You all know who Lori is right? Lori of Bee in my Bonnet. One of the cutest blogs on the planet! And designer of some of thee most fantastic patterns I've seen.

If you don't know Lori, you must go visit her site. Oh so fun! Click on her header below;

I could just pack my bags and move right into Lori's home and feel right at home. Oh so adorable! I've put a couple of these on hubby's list to make me. ;o) This is what you see when you walk up the stairs and head for the kitchen. Are you drooling already?

Love this display and the floor...
What a perfect place for a morning cup of cocoa and a good book...Her home was filled with all sorts of wonderful things. And in just the right places...
There's just a sneak peak. ;o) She has photos of her studio, on her blog. You really must go see. I got to STAND in her studio!

Then off to Las Vegas we flew. Well I mean drive. But you know what I mean. Hubby's parents are there. I haven't had a picture of hubby and his parents for quite sometime. This is a good one.

And then off to the races. You saw the race photos. Well the guy on the right is hubby's bestest friend. They've been friends since they were kids. He's the one who was racing. It was a great night!

Then it was back in the car heading back to Utah. Where we spent the remainder of our trip in a quiet little town in Ogden Canyon. With incredible views like this one.

And then our trip came all too quickly to an end. But I had to smile when we arrived back home. All my flowers were alive and the SUN was SHINING!
My little brother and his family were here visiting from out of state. We were able to spend an evening with them. I fixed these nummy Mojito bars from a Betty Crocker cookbook. Then Friday our nephew got married. It was a beautiful wedding. Such a handsome couple.

Now it's back to reality. With a TO DO list and cloudy skies. (boo hoo) I think I should plan another vacation soon. Don't you? ;o)

Start planning now! I find half the fun is in the planning. Our summer is full of visitors and then a trip to Memphis. We are pretty excited to go. ~Kelly

I know how you feel. After vacation my mind goes into stress mode or just plain turns off. It is exhausting to come home. Lori's adorable. I could spend my life with her.

You know there is no place like home but some times we need to get away from it all, but like you there is always a "to do" list. Glad you had such a great time.
