My Orange Quilt

I shared the top of this quilt with you MONTHS ago. It is FINALLY done! Woot!

I love this quilt. The piece with the white background and orange and yellow flowers is vintage. My grandma had a spoon rest that looked just like those flowers!

I meandered in the middle and did straight lines on the border. I criss-crossed the lines at the corners to mimic the gingham on the vintage flowers.

The backing is from Riley Blake, found on CLEARANCE at Fabric Depot. Can I get another WOOT!

It has felt good to be able to do some sewing again, with more projects coming... Yeah go ahead, you can give me another Woot! LOL

What a happy quilt. I love it. I had sheets growing up that remind me of some of that fabric.

My 5 year old grandson called the other day and asked me what my favorite color was. He needed to know for his kindergarten homework assignment. When I said "ornage" he yelled "Hurray! No one else has said that so far, and now I can color in a new circle!"

Woot, woot, woot for you!

It is beautiful! When you said "Fabric Depot", I knew you were a fellow Oregonian :) I live about 5 minutes from it and it is SO hard not to go there every second of my life. Especially when they have their 35% off sales.
