Swag Bucks and other items of Business

I have decided to hold a Town Hall Meeting today, here in Pleasant Home. {I think I've been watching too much Gilmore Girls lately, LOL,,, more on that in a minute...}

Our first item of business today is all about SWAG BUCKS!

Back and June I blogged about the Candy Apple Red 90th Anniversary Edition mixer with a Glass Bowl from Kitchenaid! I got mine for $50! (the suggested Retail Price was $399.99) How did I do that? You ask...
KitchenAid 90th Anniversary

Most of you know I do Swag Bucks! I've blogged about it HERE and HERE.
It's easy peasy. Sign Up. Install the toolbar. Search. Win Swag Bucks !
Swag Bucks are basically points. Redeem your points for all kinds of things. Including amazon gift cards. It takes 450 points to "buy" a $5 amazon gift card.

For 10 months, I redeemed my points for amazon gift cards. I then deposited these gift cards into my amazon.com account. I had accumulated almost exactly enough $$$ to buy this!

In June the mixer went on sale! I was only $50 short. So I did it!

Bottom Line? $399.99 on SALE for $319.99 minus $269.99 in amazon gift cards {I got for FREE by earning Swag Bucks!} = $50 out of my pocket. Not too shabby!

How did I do it?

1. I signed up for Swag Bucks. I downloaded the toolbar. I use the toolbar for EVERYTHING! (searching and going to websites I already know).

2. I blog, facebook, and twitter about Swag Bucks. { I have had over a 100 peoples sign up under me} ***I earn 1 Swag Buck for every 1 Swag Buck the peoples under me earn, up to 1000 Swag Bucks per referral***

Someday's I don't earn a single Swag Buck, but my referrals do! {which mean's I do}.

Search & Win

3. Redeemed my points for amazon gift cards and deposited the gift cards into my amazon.com account

4. Waited. Waited. Patiently waited. And Wah Lah! $269.99 in my amazon.com account just for searching the web! (I signed up for Swag Bucks on August 15, 2009. It took me a little less then a year to get my mixer.)

Wouldn't it be awesome to have some free money next year for Christmas Shopping? Try it out! It's seriously easy and totally worth it! And I'd be pleased as punch if you signed up under me of course. Just follow the link HERE to sign up!

Why the reference to Gilmore Girls? Well when I took my Utah trip with my friend Lori. She introduced Nedra and I to the Gilmore Girls. I had never watched it. I LOVED it instantly. And I love the Town Hall meetings on the show!

So much so, that I came home and used the Swag Bucks I'd been earning since June to buy the WHOLE SERIES of the Gilmore Girls on DVD! ALL SEVEN SEASONS! The set's suggested retail price was $229.99. It went on SALE on Amazon last week for $103.00! I had earned just enough Swag Bucks that I turned into Amazon gift cards, to buy it! With free Shipping too!

Merry Christmas to me! LOL. O.K. off you go! Sign up. Search and Win! And next year, you must come back and tell me all the wonderful things you got with your Swag for FREE!

I have been trying to convince my mother and brother to sign up for swag bucks, but, they don't understand the coolness of it. Maybe if I show her your post about your new mixer she will take the plunge. :) What does it hurt????

I wish we could be together to watch those Gilmore Girls. Would you believe Mr. Cactus has caught a few episodes (OK, well, PART of episodes) with me?
I will also be talking to him about Swag Bucks.

Love Swagbucks ... but love me some Loralei more. Serious, I pop one in the DVD player and can sew away ;). It's the one TV series I own and can watch over and over and over.

And it's probably why I love Parenthood so much.

Don't know if you knew about this, but there is a rebate on some of the Kitchen Aid mixers, too.

I LOVE Gilmore Girls!! I haven't watched it for a while.

I want a 50mm/f1.8 lens for my camera, maybe I should sign up for this and use the money towards that...
