Target Napkins = Christmas Pillows

I am almost finished with a Christmas Quilt! {I only started it 3 years ago} I decided I needed some Christmas Pillows to go along with my new Christmas Quilt. But it's crunch time and my sewing time needs to be dedicated to the unfinished gifts pile.

So... insert Target Napkins $4 for 2 in a pack.

A bit of ribbon and my old sofa pillows, and Wah Lah!

Oh so easy and Oh so fun! I ran two sides through the sewing machine...

Then cut 4 lengths of ribbon at 25" and then in half, and attached the ribbon to the open ends of the napkin sleeve...

Slide the pillow in and tie the ribbon in a bow. Easy peasy!

And don't they look fabulous on the bench hubby made! I finally finished it this past week. It's the perfect vintagey green with a bit of distressing. It looks like it's been sitting there forever.

P.S. the After Christmas SALES will be a great time to grab some napkins! And remember to think outside the box. Red and White Polka or Check would work for Valentines Day. Green would work for St. Pats, Blue and Snowflakes would work for January. Have fun!

Thanks for the quick idea and so cute too! The bench is wonderful and does look like its a hand-me-down. I have a green chair from my grandfather that would match it perfectly...a little more wear tho.

That is such a good idea. It's the simple ones that really work and your pillows look so pretty and, even better, so quick to do.

I love these! Especially the snowflakes. I wanted to buy the tablecloth but they were sold out. :(

My first pillows I made were out of napkins from target. Another reason we are friends. xo

those pillows are outstanding. I got 2 placemats at Target, opened a seam a bit. Then I filled them with stuffing and restitched.. Voila 2 neat pillows. Love quick and easy projects that have a lot of bang for the buck.

Just bought my Target napkins in the check as that is the only thing they had. Will print your idea along with the napkins and make them sometime next year for Christmas 2011. Thanks!
