Visions of Sugar Plums...

Are ya all ready? Can you believe Christmas is just a few sleeps away!? Crazy. I'm gettin there. A few things left to do and I'm ready. Today was last shopping day and soon to be; make the cookie dough day.

I'll be makin the cookie dough in here...

Our kitchen is all decked out in Sweets and Snow! We don't usually get real snow in time for Christmas, so I put lots of the fake stuff everywhere...

Even the chalkboard has a new do...

I just started collecting little gingerbread houses... They rest in a blanket of snow...

The inside of the buffet gets a little snow and shiney's too. And my red and white polka dot dishes look fantabulous at Christmas time!

Mr. and Mrs. Gingerbread are here to greet visitors...

And a super sweet tree stands in the corner. The topper is new this year and I LOVE it. It's Martha from Home Depot.

My kitchen tree is all decked out in sweets. It has some very special ornaments on it too. This little gingerbread guy was my mom's.

I have a few cupcakes!

Some fun gingerbread men that I bought on etsy last year. They are made to last and even smell like real gingerbread. mmm...

This was my first ornament as a child. So happy to have it. She's adorable don't you think?

More gingerbread and candy...

I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I LOVE having a tree in there. It's such a happy feeling to be cooking and baking away with loads of fun sweetness surrounding me..

Love the crisp, clean white and red. Candy and cookie touches so perfect for the kitchen. I love your little skinny tree, more my style than the over fluffed.

I see all your years of being a professional decorator showing in every detail.

How wonderful to have those older ornaments. I really like the tree in the kitchen. I don't have a tree this year and I miss it.

Your kitchen tree is beautiful! I wish I was that organized, but I do well to get one tree up each year! But I can happily say that I think my Christmas sewing is almost done, and I've only got a pile of gifts to wrap then I'm done! Whew!!

Your kitchen is adorable!

Ready? Getting there. I have a teeny bit more sewing to do and a smidge of knitting.

I love your decorating, it makes me want to ditch mine and start all over.

Happy holidays!

Your kitchen is so amazingly cute!

Oh my gosh! I ADORE your kitchen. I would live in that room if mine was as adorable as yours is. Of course, during the holidays I spend a lot of time in mine anyway but over the years as my knees have gotten worse, I don't spend near as much time as I used to. I think having such a great kitchen though I'd probably find a way though. What a wonderful kitchen. Great job decorating. Please come and do my kitchen. :)

I have just one question: umm, can I live with you? LOL!

Your photos are lovely. Thanks for sharing.

I LOOOOOVE your kitchen! Where'd you get your buffet? I've been looking for one forever and yours is just what I had in mind.

My Mom had gingerbread ornaments just like that one your mom had! We had a whole family of them! They were kinda squishy and the "icing" cracked a bit -- I still have them packed away with my "kitchen tree" ornaments box. (My kitchen now is too small for that tree - I miss it) Your kitchen looks like the perfect place to bake - so bright and cheery! Merry Christmas!

you've got such a lovely kitchen! I'd love a big kitchen, mine is about 4 feet square, I couldn't even lie down in it if I wanted to! I'll be baking when I get home from work - probably about 7pm judging by the snow :0(

Sigh...I would love to play bakery in that kitchen! Thanks for all the inspiration...again!

What fun docorations! I have found that as I get older and my kids do too we put out less decorations.... but I so love seeing pictures of those that go all out for the season.

What a beautiful home you have. It's so cheerful and happy looking. It would have been so fun to visit with you and enjoy visiting over a cup of hot chocolate. I hope you are well and that you had a wonderful Christmas with your family. Lots of hugs, Kim

P.S. If you get a chance, go look at my recent Bakeshop project. I think you might like it.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your kitchen!!! Do you happen to now the paint color name you used for the walls? I have a yellow craft room, but think I would like a lighter shade for my kitchen when we redo it. Your room just makes me smile!
