Truffles for Valentines Day

I'm still swamped with some work right now, so I thought I'd share some of my favorite Valentine posts with you this week!

This is a post from February 2011 - These are so delicious ! My friend Kate made them for a little luncheon we had at her house. The recipe is totally worth another share!

Happy Monday everyone! And Happy February!

1 package (8 squares) Bakers Semi-Sweet Chocolate
1 package (8 oz. ) Philadelphia Cream Cheese Softened

Melt 8 Chocolate Squares according to package directions

Beat Cream Cheese until creamy.

Blend Cream Cheese with Chocolate

Refrigerate until firm. (doesn't take very long)

Shape into balls (or use a small cookie scoop like Kate did)

Melt Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Drizzle / Spoon melted chocolate chips onto top of truffles

Decorate with Sprinkles, nuts, etc.

Add 1 -2 Tsp. of your favorite extract to chocolate mixture before shaping into balls.

Oh, my gosh! Thank you. It is a good thing I don't have any cream cheese on hand or I would have to make these right away and then I would have to eat them and then I would be sick. But... I can save the recipe for another time when someone will be her to help me eat them. I love to share.

Oh my those look soooooo good! I must print off that recipe if you don't mind??? They just look so pretty and I'm sure they taste divine! I love anything with cream cheese in it! That apron in a jar is about the cutest thing I have seen in a long time. What a great gift!

I love your stuff! These look really yummy! I made the semi sweet version for Christmas and I am hoping I can find the candycanes somewhere so I can make these for my children's teachers and post them on my own blog. . I am wondering why you are not on facebook? That's how I follow my favorite blogs now, you can link your posts to automatically post to facebook, then it comes up on my wall. Look into it :) I rarely ever go to my blog account and look at my followed blogs anymore.

Also good with Kahlua or Bailey's in place of the extract. We have also made with raspberry or peppermint schnappe's.

These are so pretty and look so yummy! I made truffles for Christmas, but these sound so much better than the recipe I used.
