Watermelon Salsa

Sunday we had a little Birthday get together at my brother's home. They made the most delicious Watermelon Salsa! I am absolutely in LOVE with this stuff.

They graciously let me take some home AND shared the recipe...

WATERMELON SALSA

Watermelon Salsa

3 cups watermelon (seeded and chopped)
1/2 cup chopped green peppers
2 tblsp. lime juice
1 tblsp. chopped cilantro
1 tblsp. chopped green onion
2 tblsp. chopped jalapeno peppers

Combine well. Cover. Chill at least an hour. Serve.

This salsa looks so fresh and luscious! I can just imagine how juicy the watermelon makes it! ANd the colors are great. I have a half watermelon in my frig, so I will make this for lunch tomorrow with baked tortilla chips! This is a meal in itself. Yummy!

This is also great with chunks of feta cheese. Kinda sweet/savory taste.

Thanks so much for making this recipe with a printer friendly link, Jodi! I have tried to print numerous recipes from blogs I follow and usually wind up having to copy and paste to a Word file. This was super fast and easy. You are a smartie! And the recipe is good, too! ;) Thanks!

what do you think would be a good substitute for the jalapeno? (complementary to the watermelon)
I would feel awful setting a child's little mouth on fire!

Great idea!

I see the recipe says green onion but the picture looks like regular onion? Do you have both in it? Looks amazing!! Making tomorrow for the 4th!
