If you've visited my Etsy shop lately, you may have noticed a few newer items listed.... Like these two...
1" Hexagon Paper Pieces
6 Point Diamond Paper Pieces
If you've followed my blog for the last few years..... you probably know about THIS project...
Which started my addiction to English Paper Piecing and Hexagons!
And then a few months ago I discovered the 6 Point Diamond Paper Pieces and started this project...
I'm in heaven!
I LOVE my stars... I LOVE how it's coming together....
I DON'T love how it's taking me away from finishing THIS project! LOL... But I just couldn't resist.

They are just as easy as Hexagon's and just as fun!
I cut strips of fabric (or use scraps) and then cut on the diagonal...

Baste it around the diamond paper piece just like you would a hexagon... {I like to pre-punch holes in my paper pieces.... they are so much easier to get out in the end...}

Start stitching your diamonds together...

Until you end up with this...

Then stitch those together....

And watch your project grow....

***NOTE*** There are some really good tutorials out in blog land for English Paper Piecing... Google 'English Paper Piecing Tutorials' or "Sewing Hexagons' or 'Hexie Tutorials'.... And follow along with the tutorial that you like...
If you have a English Paper Piecing project you'd like to share, leave a link to it in the comments! I would love to see them!
Happy Sewing this week!

I'm in love with EPP too. I take heaxagons with me everywhere and I have been fighting the urge to start with the diamonds. I am weakening....fast.
Hi Jodi! Your new project is adorable and I might just have to visit you shop and get some templates :) xoxo Debbie
oh so pretty!!!
love the pattern you create putting them all together
; )
I'm sorry for being dense but the post you pointed to that was supposed to talk about why you're not going to sell templates only talked about Pinterest. I can't see the connection.
Darn, I went to the etsy shop but the hourglass templates appear to be gone :-(
I have been looking at this one and googling for how to use it, and missed the chance. I do hope you will carry them again.
The thought of English paper piecing myself makes my head spin in circles. BUT...there is nothing more lovely to look at in the blog world. Hooray for patience. You are a better woman than I, and I hope you will continue to share your progress. Seriously, it's so lovely! :-)
I really like the color placement for your diamond project, accentuating the stars and the tumbling blocks. I've been trying to keep to one EPP project at a time (check my blog for today's update) but diamonds are on my bucket list. Next tho, is the rose star that has been popular in blogdom.
Again - you ARE the Scrap Master of the Universe!
oooooooooooooo I love how your diamonds made a large hexigon I will have to maybe throw those in for something different since I am making my quilt in a king size. I tell you I am freaking nuts since these things are only 3/4 inch in size. I don't know how to link back to my blog but I only have a couple posts so I am sure you can find them. I need to figure out how to link back to a post. Cheers and thanks for the great ideas and awesome work. ~Melinda, Tacoma, WA~
Sou viciada em hexágonos e diamantes e tudo que é PP .
I just found your Blog and I dearly love your Blog.
I too am a Quilter - a Beginner you might say and I made one Quilt already and I am making my second Quilt called Spider Web Quilt made out of Triangles.
I am now a follower of your Blog and I would love for you to be a follower on mine as well too.
Your 6 point diamond paper pieces look great.
I love the way you utilize scraps like no else can ...
Thanks~
Mary
I love English paper piecing and will visit your shop soon! Your diamond project is simply amazing!
Hi Jodie, I love your diamond hexagons - they are going to make a fabulous quilt. I also love paper piecing and at present am working on a project called 'candied hexagons', each one using a different bright fabric. You can see some of them on my blog - http://seasidequilter.blogspot.com.
How pretty! Such happy colours! ... just fell in love...
Hi~ I just found this post and your diamond epp project through a pinterest pin. Have you seen our Quilt along on flickr? We'd love it if you joined up!
