I think sewing with scraps is my most favorite...
So.... I got a little Inspiration from this book... which by the way, I absolutely LOVE... There are so many fun projects in this book... I'm sure I'll be sharing a few others in the near future...
See the stars on the front cover of the book?...
I started with these.... {they're 5" square}

...which turned into these {the white background is Kona Cotton and 5" square... the star points are 2 7/8" squares}

And so far I have 4 of them.....

Have you sewn anything Scrappy lately?

I think you are right. It is going to make a great baby quilt. I'm glad I get to see your creativity. I need the help and inspiration to have such fun with fabric.
I love them! I have SO many scraps, but I haven't sewn anything much lately. :o(
Those are absolutely darling!!
These are gorgeous, yes, absolutely darling!!!
Love your blocks!
That is so cute! Very pretty
I just returned from a retreat with Mary Lou! You would have loved some of the stunning block the ladies in the class made. My FAV are the stars - they are quick and just so pretty!
Now that is a cute block! Love all the Springy colors.
I have just finished some string blocks. Since I need to piece them on the diagonal I have still not done the match to get all my corner and edge pieces together. I think it will turn out great. It used up a lot of scraps.
Did you paper piece those? I live the way they turned out.
Well aren't those just so cute. They make me smile!
They are cute. I would definitely use them for some inspiration later...except you can't pin any of your images.
Yes, I love those stars....very baby looking
I just want to say i have been a follower for awhile. I love everything you are doing! Keep up the GREAT work!
Any book by Mary Lou has to be full of fun projects! I can't imagine any baby not liking this.
Love these so much! Do you only have simply adorable fabrics in your stash? Somehow I have some duds...
That is so cute. I love your star blocks. It's amazing how centering the scrappy block with points looks.
Love these! No, I haven't really done too much scrappy sewing lately. Right after Christmas I did a very small scrappy Twister pattern, but I guess that was awhile ago! It seems like just yesterday!
They were really pretty.You are amaster of fabrics.
Those are gorgeous.
And brilliant work done.

Thank you for the inspiration. I am glad I came across your blog. Love it. I just started blogging a few months ago (I am very much a beginner)
I love the way the stars look on the white background. Beautiful!
This has to be one of the cutest things I have seen in a long time. Thank you for sharing with us. I would love to try this!
I love those! I'm kind of intimidated by scrappy blocks. I'm always worried they'll come out horrible.
LOVE those blocks! Those fabrics are so bright and cheery.
Are they all from a certain line or just scraps? I'd love to have some. :)
Just found your beautiful blog - love it! I love the scrappy squares you made, the colours are beautiful. I can't wait to try this with my Heather Bailey scraps x
So Cool and So Cute~ :)

Scrappy makes me happy! These are gorgeous and I do need to make some wonky stars for a swap!
That looks great, I'm almost ready to try and use my scraps up again and this would be perfect.
Love those stars! I've been looking for a scrappy project to work on once my current WIPS are completed. Thanks for the inspiration!
