The Great Granny Along!

I couldn't resist saying YES to Ms. Lori Holt of Bee In My Bonnet, when she asked if I wanted to partner up with her and co-host a Quilt Along. The GREAT GRANNY Along to be exact.

But I did have a little question..?... Didn't Blog Land already have a Granny Along...?...

In which Lori replied... Yes. But! This is the GREAT Granny Along... There is an extra row of granny's, Great Granny to be exact... And Lori has a little different method of sewing the Baby, Mama, Granny, and Great Granny's together...

Cool I said! Sounds Fun... And I was in.. Oh... and if I hadn't already decided to say yes, I would have after seeing Lori's first Great Granny quilt! To die for!

So Today is officially the kick off for The GREAT GRANNY Along!

I am totally in love with this block! And totally in love with many of the Granny Quilts I've seen popping up...

Before I got started cutting and sewing... I went to my usual places for inspiration... Like flickr...

Here is the picture I used for Inspiration when I was going thru my scrap baskets looking for fabric to turn into blocks...
