The Quick Curve Ruler

Do you know Jenny?

Do you visit her blog; Sew Kind of Wonderful?

Have you seen her Quick Curve Ruler?

How about her patterns? Like...

Urban Beads

or Urban Birthday

or Urban Chained

I had the opportunity to play with the Quick Curve Ruler last week. I am in LOVE!
At first I thought it would be kinda hard and frustrating... But it's not!

I totally LOVE it! At first it was a little awkward sewing the curves, but once I got in the groove, it wasn't awkward at all.

First I made this table runner!

Jenny gives you the pattern free when you buy the ruler....

I had so much fun I had to try something a little more difficult... {at least I thought it would be difficult} I made a Urban Nine Patch block!
Urban 9 Patch
Isn't this the cutest block! And it wasn't difficult at all...

This is the quilt Jenny made using the Urban Nine Patch block... Isn't it gorgeous...
Urban Nine Patch Quilt

I already have an entire quilt cut out and ready to be sewn using the Quick Curve Ruler and the Urban Nine Patch tutorial. I can't wait to have some time to sew on it... And show you!

Jenny has more patterns and you can find her Urban Nine Patch tutorial HERE.

She also has some great video's on YouTube, demonstrating the ruler...

You can find all of this information on Jenny's blog Sew Kind of Wonderful and her Sew Kind of Wonderful Shop....

I've posted my Urban Nine Patch block in her flickr group HERE... You should take a look at the other Urban Nine Patch blocks.. So inspiring!

I am heading over there right now and I have the exact same red and white polka dot fabric you do using it for a baby quilt! Love your projects!

Hi Jodi, I love that ruler but I haven't found it at a store near me yet. I know I could buy on line but it would be another $12.00 to send it. But I love your table runner and all the other things you can do with it. Blessings Sandra

Neat looking 9 patch! and I always love your runners :)
On another note, are you back to using Pinterest? I think some of your pins are showing up again on my feed. Which is great! I always love to see the prettiness that you pin. I am just curious what changed your mind about using Pinterest again? :)

I wrote to her a few days ago to see if a shop in my area carries the ruler. I was at Ben Franklin today, and I gave her info to the lady who buys in their fabric dept. I hope they will order the ruler, I think it's wonderful, and have been on the verge of ordering it for some time now. After seeing you wonderful pieces, I think I cannot wait another week!!!

I have that ruler on my ever-growing wish list after seeing it a few months ago. I love what you've done already. The quilts I've seen using that ruler are just beautiful.

Your post pushed me over the tipping point. I just added the ruler and Urban Chained to my Amazon.com wish list. Now to wait for an occasion on which someone will be shopping for me. :)

How can curves not be frustrating??
Good for you - very impressive.

Fabric envy has them on sale right now.

Total including shipping for me was $18.97. I'll do some overtime at work justifying buying yet another ruler.

I finally got to meet Jenny in person at shop hop (special 90 mile trip) but so worth it. She is sweet and very tall. I watched her do this. I can do Drunkar's Path, so this will be easy-peasy. I have a pile of patterns just waiting for some fabrics, and I will be making shop samples. What a nice post.
