Go Red Lunch Bag

The husband needed a "Go Red" item for a Fund Raiser at the hospital...

I surfed around a bit on Pinterest and found this adorable Lunch Bag from Ayumi of Pink Penguin fame... Instantly fell in love with it!

I pulled a bunch of Red fabrics from my Red scrap bin and started sewing... I decided to make it scrappy, and used 2 1/2" scrap squares.  I think it turned out super cute!

I left off the drawstring cover in Ayumi's tutorial, but I do want to sew another bag with the cover in it.  I was getting tired and just needed to finish it.

I think I'll add a couple pockets to the lining next time too.  Maybe some long ones for a plastic fork, knife and spoon. And a pocket for a napkin too.

Super cute Lunch Bag!  Thanks for the awesome tutorial Ayumi

Great bag! Her tutorial is so complete. A group of us made them at a retreat last year. The Happy Zombie did a great post about them too. Love your color choice. Great idea for a fund raider item.
