Ranger Cookies

Ranger Cookies

My mom baked.  A. Lot. We always had homemade everything. Very rarely did we ever have store bought treats.  But one of my favorite cookies from the grocery store bakery, were and remain to be... Ranger Cookies.

A few years ago I set out to find a Ranger Cookie Recipe that reminded me of my beloved bakery ones...

I tried several and think this one is perfect!  (I have no idea where? So sorry I have no credit to give)

Ranger Cookies

My Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies became quite famous at Quilt Market... But these which we also kept in hiding... didn't become quite as well known.

But that's O.K. we sort of wanted it that way. Because... they're really good!  And you almost feel a little healthy eating them because they have oatmeal in them. LOL

And I must thank Camille for letting us use her booth props for cookie storage...
thanks Camille!

The sound great. I did the same thing with rhubarb pie. It took me 10 tries to find the one that tasted like Grandmas.

Frankie and I were just talking about these cookies last night. This looks very similar to the recipe I have from a friend. Her version is from her mom, so old recipe. So yummy! Now I might have to make some for sure!
