The Bees Knees Quilting Bee

I am so honored and so thrilled to have been invited to be among some very talented quilters in the Bees Knees Quilting Bee !

There are twelve of us in this Quilting Bee... We are each assigned a month... We choose the quilt block we'd like our fellow Bees Knees members to make for us...We mail the fabric and block instructions... They make the block and send it back to us!...We keep each other up to date by posting on The Bees Knees blog...

I'm really looking forward to this next year!

Sherri was first up for this round of the quilting bee....  She sent us fabrics to make Christmas Scrappy Trip Around the World blocks.

And here is the 1st block I made with the fabric Sherri sent us...

I have had this quilt on my "I want to make" list... and now after making 2 blocks, I'm totally hooked, and hope, hope, hope I can make one this year!

And here is a 2nd block I made for Sherri, using my own Christmas fabrics... I chose to use a few of the new "A Merry Little Christmas" fabrics from Riley Blake, that I picked up at Sample Spree @ Quilt Market in May...

Sherri and I went to Sample Spree together and so I thought it would be fun to "commemorate" our shopping trip.

I can't wait to see the other Bees Knees blocks and Sherri's quilt when it's all done!

Happy Sewing!!! ooxx`jodi

I love this design, Jodi - it is so easy to do, but looks so effective, depending on the fabrics used.

I love it Jodi! I really love the scrappy but organized look it has. I am going to work on mine this weekend.
