A Week of Baby Quilts! {and my Scrap Jar Star Baby Quilt }

I have been on a mission!  A mission to get as many of my UFO's finished as I can! I am doing good! In the last 3 1/2 years I've been really good about starting projects... and not finishing them!  But I've been doing so good this summer and totally finishing up most of those UFO's!

So this week.... everyday.... I'm going to share with you some of my finishes!  They're all Baby Quilts! I always like to have some baby quilts on hand... And I love making them too!

First up this week is my Scrap Jar Star baby quilt! I LOVE this pattern... My friend Amber designed it and posted a tutorial on her blog... {you can find it HERE} This is the first Scrap Jar Star I made... I have another one... a BIG one... in the works...

I did some straight line quilting {well pretty straight...LOL}  and I love it on this quilt!

I used a fun little blue and white plaid flannel for the back... and bound it in red...

I have a feeling I'll be making another baby quilt in this pattern again some day... I just love it!

I love this quilt and this pattern. I have quite a few baby quilts I need to make, so I just may do this one. Good for you for finishing a bunch of UFOs. I'm afraid I am in the camp of needing to finish a BUNCH! Thanks for the inspiration.

I just love the quilts. I have a question. New at quilting. Did you do the straight quilting with a regular sewing machine and how did you keep it from bunching up? Just love it.

It's just beautiful!! Now I want to make one!! And thanks for showing how nice the straight line quilting can look. I hate the quilting part, and now that I've seen it on yours I'm thinking that I could do that and be happy with it! Hugs, H in Healdsburg

Great color choices. So bright, crisp and clean looking.

I love it, it's perfect in every way! I haven't been brave enough to do my own quilting on the machine, whenever I try I mess it up, but maybe I could manage straight lines? Are they harder than they look? Yours look great :)

I still use honest diapers - my son is wearing big ones now - and will use them until he is potty trained. As for the scent of the diapers, they smell like baby powder. Other diapers have an unpleasant odor to me.

Although very simple quilting - it is super wonderful! Hope I remember this when I get to quilting some of my PHD's! Thanks for showing that we don't need to do all the fancy quilting to make something Beautiful!
