Sisters Oregon

I have always loved Central Oregon.... I would move there in a heartbeat if I could. Have always wanted to and this trip made me want to... even more....

The road to sisters:

The Sisters... The Three Sisters are three volcanic peaks. They are the third, fourth and fifth highest peaks in Oregon. They are beautiful.

Love old homes... Love the old homes in and all around Sisters...

The Sno Cap is pretty famous... although we never made it over to try it out...

Sisters Oregon

The one thing that seemed kinda strange while in Sisters - everyone closes up shop early... even on the weekends.... like 4 p.m. early. I thought that was kinda odd, especially in the summer... ?

The Sisters Coffee Company. Pretty famous in Sisters and a place to get free Wifi... They had the best Marionberry Muffins too!

Sitting at a table outside the shop with a view like this... trying to keep up with emails and blogging...

And their Peanut Butter Cookies are to die for... so good... I may have had more than one! :)

A fun little market right in the middle of downtown...

And I'd venture to say... a Antique Store on just about every block...

There were an abundance of Antique Quilts during the weekend of the show... So tempting!

And I had to share these suitcases... I wanted them... Badly!  But they were $100.00 a piece! They are metal... So cool!

I hope you're enjoying our vacation! :) Next post I'll share a couple of our outings while we were in Central Oregon...

My Dad lives in Springfield and I have been pretty far up the Mckinsey but not all the way to Sisters. It certainly is beautiful.

I love the Pacific NW; there is something so enchanting about it!
I am from NY and my family drives cross country each summer, covering another section of the USA, seeing the sites......last year, we were in WA, OR, ID, MT, WY and the Dakotas....I just love it out there.

Thanks for sharing...great post!

Thanks for sharing your lovely pictures! As a child we spent a week in that area every summer and my Grandparents live not far from there now. I love Sisters Coffee so much that my Grandparents brought some to us on their recent visit to Kodiak!

Oops, Jodi! I'm sorry. It's not you I'm trying to reach. Yikes. I got you mixed up with another blogger. My apologies!

this makes me miss bend and central oregon! growing up in CA, we'd drive to bend every summer to visit my grandparents and go to the cabin on crescent lake. every time we'd stop at sno-cap for ice cream and, now that i'm a mom and love quilting, we stop for the quilt shop and the ice cream. we just got home from our annual trek to the cabin and i was telling my kids about all the great memories of visiting sisters, hiking mt. bachelor, and all the beauty in that area. now that we live in seattle, i vow to make it to the quilt show next year!
