Water Lily

I'm excited to share this quilt with you all !
It was a wedding gift.  And I'm so happy with the way it turned out.

The pattern is Water Lily... It's from Sherri McConnell's book A Quilting Life. And it was so easy and fun to sew up...I totally forgot to measure my finished quilt... but I added some blocks and made it a bit bigger than the original pattern.  I also eliminated the border.

Abby quilted it up for me and I LOVE the quilt pattern we chose.  It's called Asian Vines and I think it looks so great with the fabric and pattern of this quilt.  It gave it the "vibe" I was going for and I'm super pleased.

The fabrics are the Fat Quarters I bought at the Stitchin Post in Sisters, Oregon on our trip this summer.

My first pick was this piece below from the Wish line by Valorie Wells... I picked all the other Fat Quarters around this piece. And I love the results!

It's backed in white and I used all the left over pieces for a scrappy binding.

Sherri, thanks for sharing the actual quilt diagram......sometimes it is hard to see the pattern, and I am always curious what others choose. Your quilt is lovely and I am sure will be greatly appreciated and loved.

Love this quilt Jodi! I have a Layer Cake for making this quilt. The quilting design is perfect and I like the quilt without borders. Good idea for your binding.
