Scrap Jar Star Quilt Finish !

In January 2012 I hosted my second Sew Scraps Along here at Pleasant Home.  One of the awesome guests with a equally fabulous tutorial, was Amber from A Little Bit Biased.
She shared a tutorial for a Scrap Jar Star block, and I fell in love....

FINALLY I have finished my Scrap Jar Star quilt !!!  And I'm so excited to share it with you... I think so far it's my all time favorite quilt!

Scrap Jar Star Quilt

Fabrics are Flea Market Fancy and Kona Cotton White.

I LOVE these fabrics... and I LOVE them in this quilt...

I finished a smaller version [baby size] of the Scrap Jar Star pattern earlier this year.  I think that this pattern will be one of my all time faves too...

And did you notice the custom quilting? Lynn quilted this one for me and I'm uber pleased with the way it turned out!

For the backing I used some pretty blue floral that was a super good buy at JoAnn's earlier this year....  And used my left over [favorite fabric in the Flea Market Fancy line] for the binding...

Right now it's living on our bed.... I've taken a couple naps with it already and it's keeping me toasty warm on our cool fall nights...

I'm making these blocks, too. Love the photo of it on the bed. I was interested where you got your label tape?

Thank for the link to the tutorial. I like the white back ground you used on this sweet quilt. I love how it shows off the scrap fabrics nicely. Lovely work and nice blog. :) Take care.

I LOVE this quilt and fabric! If you had to guess, what quantity of each fabric would be required for lap-size version? I tend to purchase just enough fabric for projects, so my stash isn't very large. And I love love love this fabric line! Thank you!

Oh Jodi, it is beautiful! I love all of your fabrics, including your back and binding. With all of those little squares and half square triangles that needed to be trimmed up, I know that quilt was a true labor of love and it looks amazing in your room. I'm coveting the whole thing.

And I really want some of those labels. Where'd ya get 'em?

Thanks for sharing and thanks for asking me to do a tutorial on those blocks! It was fun!

That is one scraptabulous beauty of a quilt! I love the way the white background sets off the prints. The choices for the binding and backing are perfect, too. Pinterest, here's another one for my board.
