Christmas Baby Quilt & FREE Block Instructions

While attending Spring Quilt Market this year {Portland Oregon / May 2013}  I was able to meet Amanda Murphy, and I got to see her fabric line "Holiday Bouquet"... Such a great Christmas line.

I was super thrilled when a few weeks later I received an email, asking if I'd like to sew with some of her fabric... Well of course I said yes!

And here is the result....

A cute Christmas Baby Quilt that doesn't have a name yet...  What do you think I should call this quilt?

I thought it would be fun to try one of the quilt blocks I drew up while the husband and I were on vacation this summer.  Super simple and quick to piece.

My original plan was to set the blocks on point.... But with the craziness that our year has been and the further behind I was getting... I decided to just put the blocks in rows with some sashing.   But wouldn't this be cute set on point?

Abby quilted this one up for me... and as always... I'm super pleased!   I chose the Christmas Bell's pattern and think it was just the right amount of quilting and a fun Christmas pattern to go with the Christmas fabrics.

The Pattern and Tutorial are not available at this time.  They may be sometime in the future.

K... Off to finish some more projects and get them on the blog!

Happy Sewing !!! ooxx`jodi

Amanda's fabrics are always so beautiful. You did a fabulous job of showcasing the various prints, especially by fussy cutting the centers of your nine patches. And thank you for the tutorial!

I have no idea why, but when I looked at your quilt, my first thought was "Joyful Noise."

I think you should call it Christmas Dinner or Room at the Table.... at first though I thought maybe cheese and crackers but that's hardly a good name for a quilt but the squares set on point reminded me of soda crackers... okay! I think I'm crackers! I'm going to bed!
