Find Joy in the Journey GIVE AWAY !!!

In the fall of 2011 I helped organize an event for the women at our Church.. It was our Fall Social.  Our theme was "Finding Joy In Every Season.  And the post I published on this blog about the event, is one of my most viewed posts. You can find it HERE

The idea for our theme came from a talk given by Thomas S. Monson...  You can read his talk here: Finding Joy in the Journey  Probably the most quoted part from his talk, is this;  "Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family."

Since Thanksgiving and the Holiday Season is usually the time we are most conscious of sharing our love with friends and family, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to do a couple things...

#1....a fantastic Give Away!

Do you not love this?!?

It's one of the newest "tags" from Origami Owl and I absolutely love it.

My friend Selena and I {Selena is a Origami Owl Independent Designer} are giving away what you see pictured below.... 1 - Find Joy in the Journey Tag, 1 - Heart charm, 1 - Crystal Dangle and this beautiful chain.

To enter this give away - leave a comment on this post. I'd love to know one thing you're Thankful for this Thanksgiving.  (PLEASE leave your email if you're a no-reply blogger) The Give Away will end Friday December 6th, 2013.

If you just can't wait to see if you win and want to order a tag for yourself [or a Christmas present]  You can do so by going to this link: Origami Owl

#2......
Share the photos I used in the CD/Video from our event in 2011.

I get many requests for copies of the invites, bookmarks, and video/CD. Regretfully I am unable to share the CD/Video because of copyright issues.

But I have set up a separate page on my site where you can read about the event, view the photos and text that made up the CD/Video, and use my designs for a jumping off point in designing your own. You can find that page by clicking HERE

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  I hope you are enjoying the Holiday {and maybe even getting a little sewing time in} And good luck to all who enter the Give Away!

I've extended the Give Away!  Give Away now ends Friday December 6th ! 2013...

My mom and son...and for being employed...our company is downsizing and I say a prayer every morning and evening to keep my job.

Great give away..it is beautiful.

What am I thankful for. This is a hard question. This past year has not been a happy one. Today, I am home with my dogs and cats for thanksgiving. Everyone is somewhere else. I am grateful for a wonderful husband. He is always there for me and very supportive. He went to his brother's house today, but after this year I have decided to stay away from him. Maybe things will be better in the upcoming year. I really need t to find the joy in life again.

What a nice post this was and I loved listening to Thomas S. Monson talking about "Finding Joy In Every Season". This has made me really stop and evaluate this upcoming holiday season. Thank you for taking the time to give us this lesson.
I have much to be thankful for. Aging parents that I still have here who continue to teach me to respect your mother and father, no matter what.
Children who are now grown, but will forever be young in my heart. A husband that puts up with me and never (or rarely) complains and most of all a God that loves me no matter what I do. What else could a person ask for!
Thank you for always providing a pleasant place to come for sewing inspiration!
