Pumpkin Spice turned Christmas Spice Quilt

My friend Karen released her first pattern this fall called Pumpkin Spice.  A fun pattern and in her "pumpkin spice" colors it was perfect for fall!

I fell in love with the pattern and had to make it.  Only... I decided to make it for Christmas instead.

Here is my version of her Pumpkin Spice Quilt !  I'm calling it Christmas Spice.

Christmas Spice

It's a super fun pattern to sew up.

Christmas Spice

My quilt is a little smaller than Karen's.  {I ran out of the fabrics I was using} but it's the perfect size to throw over the back of our sofa at Christmas time and just right for an afternoon nap in front of the Christmas Tree.

Christmas Spice

Abby quilted this one for me and it turned out great as usual!  {Abby has some great Christmas patterns to choose from..}

We decided on Holly Panto for this one. It was just the right amount of quilting and added just the right touch of Christmas.

Christmas Spice

The fabrics were mostly fat quarters that I'd picked up here and there. Several of them are from Moda. I believe the green border is from Riley Blake.  (but don't hold me to it) The red and white polka dot border is Moda  - I think from Sweetwater Fabrics.

Christmas Spice

You can find Karen's Pumpkin Spice pattern HERE in her Craftsy Pattern Store and HERE in her Etsy Shop!

Love your quilt Jodi. The green border fabric is by Riley Blake, it's called Apple of My Eye. The outer border fabric is Sweetwater, Mama Said Sew. Such happy colors in your quilt.

Very cute fabrics, Jodi. Boy do I see how easy that quilt would be to make with Triangles On A Roll :)

Lovely! Would like to have it to snuggle on the sofa with Christmas! Maybe next year I can make one for myself. Should start in August, though to be sure it will be finished around Christmas
