Quilt Bliss - Quilt Retreat

It's taken me a while to get these pics from my phone to my computer... Goodness.  But in my defense... It's been kinda whacky around here. But anyways....

A couple weeks ago, I hopped on a plane and flew to Utah.  {I use to like flying... now I feel like a sardine crammed into a tin can ....sigh.... }

Abby picked me up at the airport and whisked me away to lunch and Quilters Haven. A uber cute and fantastic quilt shop I hadn't visited before. {I should have let someone take our picture...darn}

I was able to go out to dinner with the husband's, aunt, and cousins! Dinner was good and so was the company. {thanks girls!}

The next morning the husband's cousin picked me up and took me to breakfast. I'll just say DELISH!

We just finished breakfast and a little shopping when Sherri got into town!  Since we were in town and had a little bit of time, we had to go visit Ms. Lori in her cute little cottage and studio!

Here is Ms. Sherri and I in Ms. Lori's studio.  {why did we not get a pic of Ms. Lori too?}

And look at this cute bundle of fabric goodness that Ms. Lori gave Sherri and I! It's her newest fabric line "Vintage Happy" that's not even out yet....{Thank You Ms. Lori}

After we got to visit and have some lunch.... Sherri and I were off to the mountains in Heber for Quilt Bliss!  A quilty retreat hosted by the Utah County Modern Quilt Group

The retreat was held at Timber Moose Lodge.  Absolutely incredible is all I can say!  Over 26,000 square feet and oh so beautiful....

 This was the room that Sherri and I shared...

The massive fireplace on the main floor...

The dining room... Where some excellent meals were served.... Such good food...

And the snowy beautiful views from every window.... A little slice of heaven...

It was cold and snowy outside... but the lodge was toasty warm... there was even a cute little wood stove in the hallway across from our bedroom door...

And the Dave's Bernina Sewing Room.... And yes... there was some sewing going on.... I took this pic during lunch...

More gorgeous views...

 And Ginormous icicles...

The morning we had to say goodbye to Quilt Bliss and Timber Moose Lodge... Such a stunning morning...

It was hard to say goodbye...

But... off to the airport I went and back home to my guys... I had a wonderful time and loved every bit of Quilt Bliss.  The Utah Country Modern Quilt Group did a fantastic job! And I hope they do it again!

Holy smack a doodles what an amazing place to have a quilt retreat - it is gorgeous and you had the perfect weather outside to be tucked inside enjoying sewing and inspiration. I love seeing Lori's beautiful studio as well - well lets face it her whole house lol - pure eye candy and FULL of inspiration. Sounds like you had a great time and a fun room mate.
