Blogger Girls Block of the Month and More....

1... At the beginning of the year, I moved my blog to a new home... it didn't go so well. So a few months later... I moved my blog back to it's old home on blogger.... There have been a lot of weird things happening... like old posts showing up randomly... pictures not showing up... posts not posting... you name it... it's been one thing after another.... Sorry for the mess and Thanks to all who have stuck it out with me. :)

2... Life throws you some curve balls once in a while... some bigger than others... I've had a few curve balls this year... nothing huge... but enough of them to kinda throw things off here and there....

3... If you didn't notice... I haven't blogged since February... Yeah... February... I can hardly believe it's June already....

4... With a curve ball here and there...I got behind... in a lot of things... Quilting Bee's, Block of the Month's, Magazine deadlines... and that's just the Pleasant Home stuff... Ugh...

5... But things have been better and calmer lately... (Did I just say that? shhhh. :) ) and I've been getting caught up...(such a good feeling)

6... So......... I spent one whole day this week getting caught up on Pleasant Home stuff...  And it felt really good.. Did I already tell you that? :) LOL

7... I also had to make an "executive decision".... I was super behind on my Blogger Girls Block of the Month and was a bit overwhelmed... I knew there was no way I could get caught up, stay caught up, and have a finished quilt in time... So.... I took the blocks I had finished and I made a Table Runner! And I LOVE it!

My apologies go to Monique for dropping the ball on this one... and my apologies to you my wonderful readers... for dropping the ball on this one... ;)

8... You can still follow along with all the other gals who are sewing up Monique's gorgeous pattern... You will find them here:

9... Oh... I learned a few lessons this year already... (one's I thought I already learned) Ha!
Might have a little something to do with my word for the year.... (balance) :)

And....10.... Thank You... Really... for hanging in there with me and always being so nice and understanding... and for all your orders and encouragement and comments and emails checking in on me... It's all so awesome! and much appreciated!

Oh.... P.S... you may not see me around much in the next few months.... I will try and pop in once in a while... but, in the meantime.. have a great summer!!!

I was certainly wondering what had happened to your blog when I kept getting old blogposts via email! Glad to see you here and your pretty table runner! "Balance' is a very good word to live by! I hope the curve ball straightens out and life gets back on a more even keel for you Jodi!

Blog when the spirit moves you. That's my motto. Love the table runner you made out of your blocks. It's stunning and simplistic all in one. Have a great summer, too.

Sometimes life happens. My momma used to say, you can't enjoy the mountains if you don't have a few valleys thrown in. It is what it is, acceptance and balance are very good words.

No apology needed. I enjoy your blog very much. I'm glad things are getting better for you and you are getting caught up. Your blog is one of the first quilt blogs I started to follow. Your work is beautiful and you have a kind and generous spirit.

I don't have a blog but follow quite a few by e-mail. At the end of last year I stopped getting e-mails for some (not all) of the blogs I was following. Then a few months ago just about all of them stopped. I thought it was on my end and my e-mails were being blocked somehow. Just yesterday I started receiving these e-mails again.

You have a great summer too!

I was wondering what was happening. I would look at your blog one day and the next day the post would be gone. I thought not long ago you had a post about a new pattern. Maybe it was an older post and I didn't notice the date.
Glad you are getting your life in a balance. Blog when you can. We will still be here. pam

Now I know I am not going crazy! I did receive a couple of your older posts; didn't know what was going on. Then you seemed to have disappeared completely. Glad to hear you are back again. Your table runner is wonderful!

I'm glad you're back! I was a little sad when I thought you were gone. I really enjoy your blog and have gotten some wonderful ideas from it. Thanks so much.

I've really missed your blog and wondered at your absence, but am glad to 'hear' from you again. Actually I was wondering what to do with all my lovely little blocks from 'Bloggers Girls'- not sure if I wanted to put them into a quilt. You've given me a wonderful idea - maybe a table runner too. We'll see.

I was drawn to the word Balance this year also. I haven't been all that great about finding that lately. What a great idea to make a table runner from your blocks. I hope that your summer is a good one.

You have a wonderful summer too! It is nice to know that us quilters are actually human and not super human because I don't always feel super human myself. Though either way we are still really really amazing!!

Welcome back! I've missed seeing your pretty projects. Made a batch of Ranger cookies on Friday for my son for his weekend trip. They were a big hit.

Love your table runner! I think we all over commit to the point there isn't any room for things that come up. It's good to recognize and simplify!

I LOVE this table runner. The blue gingham is my favorite.
Good for you figuring out what works and what doesn't. It's always a work in progress, isn't it??
Have a beautiful summer in Oregon!

Good for you for making it into a table runner!! It was a great decision, and good to see a way to use the blocks used in something other than a quilt! :-) And I'm afraid to start a blog for fear that I would go months between posts too!! Life has so much to do besides the cyber-world! Hope things will stay calm for you for a long while!! Hugs, H in Healdsburg
