Orange Peel Quilt Along

Back in July I joined Amber in Jessica's Orange Peel Quilt Along

I chose to make the mini quilt in the book 101 Fabulous Small Quilts

Slowly but surely I've been working on it here and there and finally have a finish!

I stopped at 12 Orange Peel blocks instead of doing the 16 in the pattern. And I opted to not to put any borders on except a 2" white border.

Although I'm less than thrilled with my not so precise applique... {Those poor center points...}  I LOVE LOVE LOVE this mini! I can't wait to hang it on the wall.

I am super duper happy with the scraps I chose for this project. I LOVE the colors. Some of these scraps I've had for quite a while, they are some of my favs...

And it feels so good to have a finish! And I finished just in time to join Jessica's Linky Party on her blog HERE ...

OK I'm off to a busy week!  I hope everyone has a great week!

Be sure to come back Wednesday!  I am thrilled to be part of the Sew Kind of Wonderful Blog Hop! And I have the cutest project to show you!  I got to play with one of Sew Kind of Wonderful's new patterns and it's so fun!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this sweet little quilt and your version of it. The colors are so bright and fresh. I did do this quilt in civil war fabrics and am slowly putting the peels together in groups of 4 - I think it's really hard to get them to match up unless the 4 patches are sewn together before you applique. That's my story and I'm sticking to it lol.
Hugs - karen
