Sew Kind of Wonderful Blog Hop !!!

Happy August 27th Everyone!  And where the heck did summer go? Most kids have already started school, the temps are starting to dip a bit, the days aren't as long, the yard is looking a bit sad, and so am I... It's an understatement to say that I LOVE summer.

A close up of the fun block I made into a pillow with the Sew Kind of Wonderful new pattern Metro Scopes!

I needed a little something to cheer me up at this end of another season... So you could say I was a little giddy when the girls over at Sew Kind of Wonderful asked me to be part of their Sew Kind of Wonderful Blog Hop this week!

QCRbloghopbutton

I'm joining some fabulous quilters who are bringing some fantastic Quick Curve Ruler ideas, projects, patterns, etc... to blog land this week.

There will be some giveaways along the way, and a linky party at the end of the blog hop!

For my little part in the hop, I got the pleasure of playing with one of the new patterns called Metro Scope. I'm in love with this block!

And I also got my hands on their beautiful book, " Contemporary Curved Quilts". There is just not enough time in the day to make all the quilts I want to make. Including most every quilt in this wonderful book! Although I think the "Fresh and Trendy" quilt on the cover... might be my favorite.

Oh and before I forget... There will be a "Curve it Up" Challenge Quilt Along on the Sew Kind of Wonderful Blog starting in September!

So for this week, be sure you go visit everyone so that you don't miss a giveaway and some great inspiration!

Happy Sewing!

awesome. I just made that block last night. Well sort of. The center of your pillow is one of the nine patch blocks from the "Curve It Up" pattern I just bought, but put together like your pillow , it is a block from the Metro Scope. Wow. This is how it catches on then expands. Try a small project then invent a new quilt. Love it. I am entranced by the Sew Kind of Wonderful site and see the ruler as a challenge. Not that it is hard but such variety of options.

Your pillow is beautiful, the colors really pop. I am falling in love with everything this ruler can do the more examples I see. I have glanced at the patterns and skimmed over this one but after your example I am going to take another look at Metro Scope. Thank you for sharing.
