January 1, 2015 - Happy New Year !!!

Happy New Year everyone !!!   I know we've heard it a thousand times... but where in the heck did 2014 go!?!  Goodness this past year went by fast!

I'm looking forward to 2015!  I've set some new goals / resolutions for myself and looking forward to working on them.

I've been trying to decide what my word for the year will be???  Last year it was BALANCE... You can find my post about it... HERE...

When I decide what this year's word is going to be... I'll be sure to let you know!

So before I usher in the New Year...I thought I'd do a little recap of December for ya...

In case you don't follow me on Instagram...

I've been posting almost everyday on IG... if you don't follow me there.. you totally should!  I'm Pleasant.Home

I wanted to share the finished Big Baby quilt I blogged about on December 2nd!

I did some straight line quilting and used the aqua with white dot for the binding. I absolutely LOVE this pattern... So quick and easy!  It's like an instant baby quilt!  LOL
I'll be sharing another one I made with the same pattern...soon!  You can read more about this pattern...HERE...

The husband spent some time in his wood shop for me and made these FANTASTIC recycled old barn wood snowflakes!!!  Aren't they gorgeous!  I saw a pin on Pinterest and he happily filled my request!  You can find the tutorial... HERE ...

I had fun putting together some gift boxes for friends and family!  The husband made some wood boxes from the same old barn wood and I filled them with all kinds of yummy goodies.

I also experimented with a old family favorite recipe... Every Christmas we make Saltine Roca... It's so good!  Saltine Crackers with a layer of brown sugar toffee and then chocolate and nuts on top....

For New Years Eve I made a White Chocolate Cranberry version... YUMMY! I'll share the recipe soon.  It would make a great Valentines treat!

And Santa's Elf (A.K.A. me!) was Busy Busy Busy in the quilt making department this past year!  I couldn't blog or Instagram or nothin... any of these quilts... because they were all gifts!  I'll be sharing them with you later this month! So stay tuned...

For now.... Happy Sewing!!! And Happy New Year!!! ooxx`jodi

What a cute baby boy quilt. It would work up quite fast too I'm sure. I'm not so good at the machine quilting but I need to start practicing. Our family loves the saltine roca.......looking forward to the cranberry recipe too.
