My WORD for 2015

I've tossed around several words for the New Year... Including... BRAVE, CHANGE, CLARITY, DETERMINED, and FOCUS... But in the end... I didn't choose any of them.

My word for 2014 was BALANCE.  It was a good word for me. I was conscious of it all year. Consistently striving to find that balance between, personal wants and needs, home life, family life, my faith, and Pleasant Home {work}...

Balanced rocks

I think I did pretty good. I set specific goals and that really helped.

I even bought this super awesome metal tag from Origami Owl and wore it often this past year. It was a great reminder for me.

This year I do have some specific goals in mind.  It will be a year of CHANGE, and It's a year that I'm DETERMINED to make certain things happen.  I know that I need to be FOCUSED {something that can be hard for me}.. I pray for CLARITY as I learn and grow and make important decisions.. And all of it takes some BRAVERY...

But in the end, none of these words summed everything up for me.

And then I read something the other day, I quote;

"no matter where you are in life right now, I want to encourage you: Keep on. Press forward. Keep learning. Keep experimenting. Keep holding onto hope. And most importantly: don't give up!"

And the word jumped off the page at me! I knew exactly what my word would be.

FORWARD

FORWARD: Ahead...Leading..Onward...Progressing...Advance...Accelerate...Drive...
Further...Hasten...Step Up... Higher...Improved..

I Hereby Resolve....

And so FORWARD it is... Because personally I will keep moving FORWARD... Even if I take a step FORWARD in the right direction and 3 steps back... I'll remember my word and move FORWARD again...  Progressing. Improving. Stepping it up a bit. Consistently moving FORWARD...

And although Origami Owl doesn't have a metal tag with the word FORWARD on it, I do have my eye on this one..

Because with the changes I want to make and the goals I've set... I need to FOLLOW MY HEART... Stay focused, be brave and determined and keep moving FORWARD.

I wish you all the very best for the New Year! I hope to be around this blog a little more in 2015 then I was in 2014. So hopefully we'll be seeing each other a little more often!

I would love to know if you have a word for 2015 ?

And if you're wondering if Origami Owl has your word on a Tag... You can look HERE...
If they do...You can order straight from the website and have it shipped to you!

Happy New Year everyone !!!  Follow your Heart and Keep Moving Forward!

I had my word of the year down to two and your post forced my to pick one so I could leave a comment here. I chose Gratitude. Thanks for the push and have a great year.

Gratitude is my word. To remember to be thankful and grateful for everything in my life. How can I expect more If I'm not thankful for what I already have--. Have a great year and I enjoy reading your blogs.

Good Morning Jodi! Great word!! I've been thinking about my 'word' for 2015 too and recently settled on 'intentional'. Have a great day!

Great word! And a great idea. I just may borrow it from you and create my own word for myself. Resolutions always seem to take a back burner after February but a "word" that means something just to me may keep me better focused. Thanks for sharing the idea.

Great word! Mine for this year is Believe. I also tossed a lot of words and thought around but it always came back to believe. If I believe anything is possible. I just need to believe to make it so. Thanks for sharing your word.

Thats a great word and your reason for picking it is perfect. I will get mine narrowed down. I like having one to help focus on the goal. Happy New Year to you.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts about your word for this year. Love that quote too! I think my word is 'intentional' for this year so being intentional with every area of my life, big and small. Last year it was 'trust' as in learning to trust through my faith and trusting those around me.
