Oh dear. I just made the pinwheel block and it finished at 9". I sat there and stared at it for a while because I don't know how that happened. Still don't. Maybe I wasn't sewing at a true 1/4"? GAH!

Love the runner! You are very nice to share how to make this. I would love to be able to stay at home w/the kids and sew. What a joy it must have been to know that you were able to do that. I was able to stay home with our 5 children up until March of this year. I miss being at home now so much. My prayer is to return home to my family. For now I'll do what I can to help my DH but I still keep praying.

It's so refreshing to know there are folks like you out there who are not trying to, as you say, make a million off a design or something and are willing to allow others to use your ideas and patterns. People can get so caught up in "mine, mine, mine...look, but don't touch" that it's very depressing. Everything you said touches my heart and re-warms my feelings about certain things in blogland!
