Quilts!
I actually finished a couple quilts!
The first one is made using the
Funky Pinwheel Template.
I used some fabulous fabric from Jennifer Paganelli. I'm pretty sure it's from the So St. Croix line...
I'm super happy with the way it turned out... I especially love the feel of it.
Jennifer's fabric reminds me of soft old cotton sheets. And after quilting it, washing it, and drying it... I am wishing I had a quilt made from this fabric..
The second quilt I finished and a favorite!
I started this quilt over a year ago... Such a simple quilt.... just too many projects and things going on around here... But it's done! And I love it!
It was made using the
Double Hourglass Template, and Allison's Tutorial
HERE.
A few years ago,
Allison of Cluck Cluck Sew posted a fabulous tutorial using a cardboard template. I emailed Allison and asked if I could make an acrylic version. She said go for it! So I did!
She uses 2 1/4" strips. I designed the template to be used with 2 1/2" strips.
This quilt is now hanging over the back of my sofa and I LOVE it....
And did you notice the sunshine in these photos? A few weeks ago, in the space of 4 days I shoveled a foot of snow in 30 degree weather off our driveway AND mowed the lawn in 70 degree sunshine! Crazy weather we were having...
And some very GOOD NEWS! I've re-opened my Etsy Shop!
I have a limited number of Funky Pinwheel, and Double Hourglass Templates for SALE.... Along with a few other items...To visit my Etsy Shop.... go HERE.... Happy Sewing! ooxx`jodi
